SCALABLE RECRUITING PROGRAMS

Providing Innovative Solutions And Strategies That Work

Attracting the correct talent can be a costly initiative.  National estimates have stated costs range from 15-20% of the average employee’s salary. Costs of traditional recruiting include:

Marketing efforts such as job posting and advertising
Job Fairs
Pre-Assessments such as resume review
Interviewing unqualified candidates
Hiring process (offer letters, paperwork, onboarding)
Training of team

To assist in your recruiting efforts, the City of Phoenix provides a scalable recruiting approach comprised of three approaches for job posting, job search, and recruiting events.

LEVEL 1:  JOB POSTING

Unlike many other online job posting sites, creating an employer account is free and provides your organization the ability to:

Post job openings.
Save searches and resumes.
Receive email updates on new resumes.
Manager your company profile.

Our state-wide job posting website, Arizona Job Connections, has thousands of active job candidates. The posting process is easy, just complete the attached job order form and email it to [email protected] along with your job description and our team will create your posting and provide the following additional services:

  • Our team will send the posts to a network of workforce development partner agencies and education providers, increasing the awareness of your organization’s need.
  • Promotion of openings at the [email protected] job centers.

Download this form to begin posting your open positions today.

LEVEL 2:  PRE-SCREENING SERVICES

Whether your organization has a small number of new hires needed or are hiring hundreds of new team members, our team can come along side your recruiting team to create a unique experience that includes the level one promotion of open positions as well as searching Arizona Job Connections for candidates that best match your need by pre-screening resumes and candidates via phone screening.

The process increases the number of qualified candidates being sent to your organization while allowing your team to focus on building your business.

Download this form to help us with screening questions.

LEVEL 3:  RECRUITMENT EVENTS

[email protected] offers two types of recruiting events, multi-company and custom single company events. For a list of current multi-company recruiting events, go to www.ARIZONAATWORK.com/events where a calendar of the statewide events are listed.

Our team will assist your recruiting team with the creation of customized recruiting events and information sessions that assist your company in finding the most qualified candidates.  Recruiting events can be held at your facility or at the City of Phoenix Business and Workforce Development Center meeting space located in downtown Phoenix.

Download this form to begin posting your open positions today.

Incumbent Workforce Training Program

Incumbent Workforce Training (IWT) is a federally funded grant program designed to meet the special needs of your organization to retain a skilled workforce.  IWT grant provides financial assistance for the delivery of training programs that provide your existing employees an opportunity to gain competitive skills necessary to avoid potential separation of employment.

For more information, download the “About IWT” or contact us at [email protected] or CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE TODAY!  Select "City of Phoenix" in the LOCAL AREA drop down menu..

On the Job Training Program

OJT or On-the-job training, is an “earn-as-you learn” training that can offer local employers and job seekers access to Federally funded grant dollars.

In the past, you probably have interviewed a candidate that would fit your organization well, but they lacked the work experience to qualify for employment.  OJT is a program that helps you develop the working knowledge of a candidate, providing critical work life experiences, through mentorship, to remove barriers that may prevent an individual from gaining employment.

For more information, download the “About OJT” or contact us at [email protected] or CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE TODAY!  Select "City of Phoenix" in the LOCAL AREA drop down menu.

Customized Training Program

Customized training opportunities provide structured training for participants to gain the knowledge and skills to be competent in the job for which they are hired and lead to stable employment. Training will lead to an industry recognized credential or certification, increasing the potential employee’s ability to gain employment with the company and the industry being represented.

Customized workforce programs provide training to potential future employees, where the training is designed to meet a specific employer or group of employer requirements related to new production or service procedures, upgrading to new jobs that require new skills or workplace literacy. Upon completion of the training the employer must commit to interview successful candidates for full-time employment.

For more information, download the “About Customized Training” or contact us at [email protected] or CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE TODAY!  Select "City of Phoenix" in the LOCAL AREA drop down menu.
